Feedzyme Poultry

for protection, health and growth

feedzyme2

The product:

Feedzyme is a free flowing blend of beta glucanase and xylanase in a cellulose background. Produced by a natural fermentation of non-genetically modified Penicillium funiculosum it will also provide a number of side activity enzymes such as alpha-galactosidase which, while not quantified, are beneficial in degrading less digestible raw materials.

The xylanase is necessary to digest the normally indigestible xylans in wheat to release extra energy at the small intestine rather than allowing it to be degraded by a hind gut fermentation.

The use of these pentosanase enzymes is also beneficial in decreasing digesta viscosity. This enables nutrient absorption to increase and gradual diffusion of animal secreted enzymes into the digesta to optimise digestion.

The beta glucanase is especially beneficial in poultry rations with a high barley, oat or rye content. It breaks down the indigestible storage polysaccharide which are often responsible for ‘sticky droppings’ in broiler chickens.

Major benefits:

  • Enhances digestion giving improved performance for both poultry and pigs.
  • Upgrades poor quality feeds and provides greater flexibility in the selection of compounding raw material.
  • Counteracts enzyme deficiencies in young animals.
  • Improves poultry litter and decreases the risk of horizontal disease

Usage:

Feedzyme is designed for use in rations containing high levels (above 20%) of barley or oats or significant inclusions of rape seed, peas, etc.

It may also be used with wheat-based rations for pigs or very high levels of wheat inclusion in poultry rations.

Usage rates recommended are 0.5kg/Te finished feed.

The rate of inclusion of Feedzyme may be increased or reduced gradually to maximise cost benefits.

Packaging:

Feedzyme is packed in 25kg foil lined multi-walled paper bags.
