The product:
SALKIL Liquid is a blend of part neutralised carboxylic acids. It is active against many of the Gram-negative bacteria, such as Salmonella, Campylobacter and Escherichia species, found in livestock production.
Major benefits:
- Salkil Liquid offers a cost-effective, easy to use way of restricting the spread of Salmonella and other potential enteropathogen infections through contaminated feed and feed bins.
- The organic acids are buffered to ensure that during spray operations, in the feed mill, the product will not fume or corrode mill equipment.
- Salkil Liquid is compatible with all feed applications and will not affect in-feed vitamin stability or medications.
- Salkil Liquid is fully biodegradable, does not leave a residue and helps to dissolve scale in water lines.
Usage:
Mash feeds 3 kg/t
Contaminated raw materials <=20 kg/t
Salkil Liquid is also recommended for the cleansing of water tanks and pipelines.
Where there is algal growth and biofilm accumulation, this should be physically removed from the tanks and the pipework filled and flushed with diluted Salkil Liquid. Fill and leave for 15 minutes and then flush through to remove debris.
Dilution: 1 litre to 125 litres of water.
Rinse through.
After cleansing, as above, Credence may be used for terminal and routine disinfection of water systems and drinking water.
Salkil Liquid and Credence should not be used together.
Salkil Liquid can be used in the surface decontamination of lorries, storage bins, processing rooms and equipment.
Pressure hose surfaces to remove bulk soiling. Spray with diluted Salkil Liquid
Dilution: 1 litre to 1 litre of water.

Salkil Liquid is supplied in 4 x 5 kg containers, 25 kg containers, 200 kg barrels, 1000 kg IBC’s or bulk.
